Pfc. Omer D. Murphy, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Murphy, graduated from Southside School; husband of the former Elizabeth Reed Taylor. Entered Air Corps in Nov., 1942, trained in San Angelo and Paris, Texas; served in France, Germany and Belgium; was wounded in action in April, 1945 in Essen; is now on terminal leave. Awarded ETO Ribbon with two Battle Stars, Am. Theatre Ribbon, Combat Inf. Badge, Good Conduct Medal, the Purple Heart.
