RT 3/c Ethridge L. Givens, son of Mr. and Mrs. Garland H. Givens, graduated from Tipton High School; husband of the former Wilma Jean Purdy. Entered Navy in April, 1944, trained in San Diego, Cal.; served in Japan, China, the Philippines, Guam and Iwo Jima, is now on duty in S. Pacific.
