S 2/c Jesse Edgar Vaughan, son of Mrs. J. E. Vaughan; husband of the former Corine Phillips.  Entered Navy in Sept., 1942, trained in Great Lakes, Ill.; served in the Solomons, New Sealand, Hawaii, Honolulu and Guadalcanal; received medical discharge in July, 1943.
