S/Sgt. Wayne D. Purcell, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Purcell, attended Grandfield School; husband of Margarett Purcell.  Entered Army in 1940, trained in Camp Gruber, Ft. Sill, Okla., Texas, Maine and California; served in S. Pacific; is now on duty in Ft Sill, Okla. (as per original 1940's publication)
