RdM 2/c Homer S. Loftis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rad L Loftis, graduated from Frederick High School; husband of the former Mary Frances Hemphill. Entered Navy in April, 1944, trained in San Diego, Cal.; served in Hawaii, the Philippines, Okinawa, Iwo Jima, New Hebrides, New Guinea and Marshalls; was discharged in Dec., 1945. Awarded Asiatic Pacific Ribbon.
