M/Sgt. David E. Fry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Fry, graduated from Frederick High School; husband of the former Betty Wright. Entered Marine Air Corps in Dec. 1939, trained in San Diego, Cal., Hawaii, Pensacola, Fla., Greenville and Cherry Point, N.C.; served in Pearl Harbor, Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia, the Solomons, the Marshalls and the Gilberts. Awarded Am. Theatre Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Ribbon with three Battle Stars, Commendation Ribbon, Am. Defense Ribbon with one Battle Star.
