Sgt. James W. Bawcom, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Y. Bawcom, attended Tipton High School. Entered Air Corps in Aug. 1942, trained in Sheppard Field, Texas, California; served in Australia, New Guinea, Biak, Okinawa. Awarded Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic Pacific Ribbon with five Battle Stars.
