Pfc. Floyd O. Burks, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Burks, attended school in Davidson. Entered the Army in May 1942, trained in Vallejo, Mare Is., Cal.; served in Guadalcanal, New Caledonia, New Guinea, the Philippines, Camp Carson. Awarded Asiatic Pacific Ribbon, Pres. Unit Citation.
