T/4 Melvyn C. Johns, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Johns, graduated from Frederick High School; husband of the former Nettoe Jo Stevens. Entered Army in Oct. 1942, trained in Ft. Warren, Wyo., Ft. Meade, Md., and New Orleans, La.; served in British West Indies; was discharged in Oct. 1945. Awarded Good Conduct Medal and Meritorious Service Plaque.
