CPO Ray M. Phillippe, son of R. M. Phillippe, graduated from Frederick High School; husband of the former Evelyn Cramer.  Entered the Navy in 1937, trained in San Diego, Cal.; went overseas in March, 1942; served in N. Africa, Sicily, Italy, England, France; is now on duty in Astoria, Ore.  Awarded Good Conduct Medal, Am. Defense Ribbon, ETO Ribbon with four Battle Stars. (as per original 1940's publication)
