Sgt. Elmo Haynie, son of the late W. H. Haynie; husband of the former Elsie Beard, Entered Army in 1943, trained in Camp Robinson, Ark., Camp Shelby, Miss, and Blackstone, Va.; served in New Guinea and in Mindoro in Aug., 1945; is now enroute to U.S.  Awarded Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, the Purple Heart.
