Pvt. Rex A. Wiley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Luther Wiley, graduated from Laing High School.  Entered Army in March, 1942, trained in Ft. Knox, Ky., and Arizona; went overseas in Aug., 1942, served in Germany; was wounded on the Ruhr River; was discharged in Oct., 1945.  Awarded the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, EAME Ribbon with three Battle Stars.
