Entered Navy in Jan. 1943, trained in San Diego, Cal.; served in Hawaii, the Philippines, Okinawa, and Japan. Awarded Asiatic Pacific Ribbon with nine Battle Stars, Philippine Lib. Ribbon with two Battle Stars, Am. Theatre Ribbon.
