S/Sgt. Ray Coleman, husband of the former Rachel Plunkett, graduated from Smithville High School, attended SESC, Durant. Entered service in April, 1944 trained in Ft. Jackson, S. C, Camp Forrest, Tenn; went overseas in Nov, 1944; served in England, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Holland, Germany, and Czechoslovakia. Awarded Good Conduct Medal, ETO Ribbon, Citation from British 2nd Army.
