1st. Lt. R. Mitchell Johnston, son of Mrs. Mattie F. Johnston, graduated from Frederick High School and attended Northern Okla. Jr. College. Entered Air Corps in July 1942, trained in San Antonio, Texas, Mustang Field, Okla., Strother Field, Kan., Waco Field, Texas, Casper, Wyo., Monthan Field, Ariz.; served in England and is now on duty in Roswell Field, N. M. Awarded D.F.C., Air Medal with four Leaf Clusters, ETO Ribbon with three Battle Stars, Am. Defense Ribbon, Victory Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal.
