Lt. Comdr. Joseph D. Jones, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph D. Jones, attended Frederick High School and Port Arthur College, Texas; husband of the former Evelyn Anita Dean. Entered Navy in April, 1941, trained in Annapolis, Md.; served in New Georgia, the Hawaiians, Guam, the Philippines, New Guinea, Australia, Solomons, Panama; is now on duty in Boston, Mass. Awarded Am. Defense Ribbon with Fleet Clasps, Asiatic Pacific Ribbon with two 'Battle Stars, Am. Theatre Ribbon, Philippines Lib. Ribbon with one Battle Star, Victory Ribbon.
