Cpl. Clyde L. Dean, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard D. Dean, attended Manitou schools; husband of the former Dorothy Guthrie. Entered the Army in Feb. 1943, trained in Ft. Knox, Ky., Arizona; went overseas in July 1944; served in England, France, Belgium, Germany. Awarded ETO Ribbon with two Battle Stars, the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal.
