Stokes, James R.

Pfc. James R. Stokes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter C. Stokes, attended Weaver School.  Entered Army in Jan., 1943, trained in Camp Swift, Texas; served in England, France, Belgium and Germany; was wounded in action in France in June, 1944; is now on furlough.  Awarded ETO Ribbon with four Battle Stars, Arrowhead, Good Conduct Medal, the Purple Heart, Pres. Unit Citation.
